New Equipment
Just noticed that Bass Pro (in their new 2014 saltwater cat.) has the Penn 704 & 706 reels advertized. I believe these were the reels that many of you were looking forward to from previous posts (maybe not). More interesting is the new 4 or 5 new "collapsable" and "portable" fishing carts (have the large beach friendly tires) by Berkely....for those of us who have to travel half way across the country to fish the pier. Like many of you...I made my own collapsable/transportable cart last year...but these look promising and have a reasonable price.

Two of those are set up at the BPS store in Spanish Fort.
Some folks like them, some don't.
Most who do like the foldup capability and lightweight frame.
The Penn 706 and 704 are NOT available thru BPS yet,
at least ordering from the 2014 catalog is not online yet.
And I haven't heard the SpFt store will be carrying them...
But J&M has them now ;-)Last edited by Pier#r; 12-07-2013 at 09:16 AM.
