Give a googan a king, and he can eat for a day. But teach a googan how to kingfish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years

Re: Forum First Anniversary
Just a Heads Up for everybody that doesnt have a Facebook account or isnt a member of Pierkingfishing page. A group of South and North Carolina pier fishermen are making a trip down here that weekend. They have a completely different style of king fishing up there so let's do our best to help them as much as possible and make them feel at home. It's gonna be a good weekend to be on the pier. Let's hope the fish cooperate.

I don't know your personal schedule, but that isn't a good time to plant a food plot. This week, though maybe a bit early would be far better than the end of the first week in October.

Re: Forum First Anniversary
DRH---Actually, that's a little earlier than I normally do it---that's just when my helpers can get off. I quit planting early after the army worms destroyed my plots a couple of years and on other occasions the oats grew up too tall and tough to be palatable. I frequently plant right up to November (oats and wheat). The only time I plant early is to establish clover. Never had a problem getting a fine stand in time for gun season. October is generally so dry, you don't get much of a growth spurt until the November rains come along.

Well, after several hours making phone calls, I was able to track down a certain manufacturer’s service center in California. Thankfully, they agreed to send out my needed parts. These were left over...
You would think I would know this!
