Denali Rods

I just wanted to give everybody a heads up about a new(ish) rod company that is making a great light tackle stick. I bought a few of the Denali rods a couple of weeks ago and I could not be more impressed with the finish and performance. They are not marketing their stuff to saltwater guys but the bass spinning rods are great for flounder, specks, etc. I have several gloomis, shimano, kistler, and others and I will say that the Denalis have stolen the show for me. Just wanted to share my experience with everybody as they are definately worth a look if you are in the market for a new stick or 3.

Which rod did you have Ironman? I have 7 and have caught a ton of fish in fresh and salt water on them all with zero problems. I fish 2-3 days per week and am very hard on my equipment. The rods I have are VERY sensitive and react as well as anything I have came across. Every company goes through a few growing pains and learns more from their failures than their successes. I guess you just got a dud, I would definitely recommend them to anyone because if a piece of equipment performs and holds up to my standards it has to be good stuff.

I had a similar experience with the Blair Wiggins/Wright McGill rod I bought. Lots of people and lots of reviews said they had a problem with them breaking easily. JohnG said they quit carrying them. But it has been redesigned to correct those initial problems and I've had no problem with mine. It flings a cig a long way, is light weight, and has good backbone. It has handled a lot of kings, big spanish, reds, and slung more remoras over the rail than any rod should have to in a lifetime.

I just can't justify payin that kind of money on an off the rack rod.
