Beach renourishment starting in October
October surf fishing will be interrupted along the 16 miles of beaches at times, 30" pipes blocking access except at covered points and active sand replacement zones. https://gulfcoastmedia.com/stories/b...coastmedia.com

I despise that term, because it 'renourishes' nothing but certain pockets!
They should call it what it is, SAND DREDGING...

There is still a big hole south of the pier about a mile off shore from the last "renourishment". Total guess, but maybe 1/4 to 1/2 mile diameter? It's 30 ft deep all around it, 40 ft in it. It has not filled in even with hurricanes which kind of surprises me.

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

What slays me is the way this beach dredging is 'rubber stamped' by FEMA and the very same Feds who are foot dragging about permitting repair of a pier that has been around since the 1960s...

I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
