Generally surf fishing at the end of the month is going to be pompano and whiting. You'll want to use fresh-dead shrimp pieces on a Carolina rig. What's "fresh-dead"? Just a minute ago. You'd look for them in tomorrow's obituaries, not today's. Don't use the whole thing (whiting, especially have small mouths) and peel the shrimp before putting it on the hook.
You have time to do research using the search button. Everything you could ever want to know about anything fishing-related is available in previous discussion archives.
