Temu Fishing Lures.
I know, I know but has anyone used those Temu lures that are suppose to resemble an Xrap. About 5 inchs long with a weight of about 1.5 ozs. They sink and are about $5 each shipped to your door from China.

I got some similar "deal" lures but haven't tried them because the pier has been closed. Dagnabit.

Thanks, they look fine but not sure how they will run or if the hooks will stay strong. Good colors but I know they aren't Xrap quality.

Even if they only attract a couple of bites, they should be deemed acceptable because the sharks gonna eat whatever you hook, and swallow the lure along with the fish. Anyhow, it'll be fun to try them.

I bought some similiar bootleg/chinese knockoff X-rap looking lures off eBay a few years ago for like $4/5. Biggest issue was the cheap hooks/splitrings. If you swap out the hooks and the splitrings they perform pretty good for what they are worth. I call them my "shark" lures

Many newer lures need upgraded hooks anymore, many people I fished with in PCB switched hooks out on the lures they were using .....something I plan on doing

Hope the shoulder gets well soon Ironman. We are planning on being in Panama City the month of October 2024 and fishing a little off shore and the pier. Haven't caught a King in 3 years. I will also slip down a few days in April as we will be in Destin for a week.

Month of October also, past 3 years.....but been on the county.....the city pier with no mid portables, limit 3 rods , & parking hasn't been to my liking.....but being they seem to catch more , might visit it more this next trip ....at least 9ft rods don't need carried through the entrance at the city ....long walk for the crapper

Its had got to be the live scope type stuff, it has turned fishing into a video game, at least BASS has outlawed them for this year.
Do the fish stand a chance?
